Welcome to Hedgehogs!
 Hedgehogs were launched by TV personality Esther Rantzen in April 2008 and have since developed into the leading Extended School provider locally. Hedgehogs provide inclusive Before and After School childcare during term time and a Holiday Day Camp during most school holidays. All our settings are located in the safety of local schools and we work in cooperation with Hampshire County Council and Services for Young Children (SfYC). We are Ofsted registered and our staff are experienced and qualified to deliver the very best of care for your child.
About Us!
Hedgehogs know that it is difficult to juggle a career and look after school aged children, and it can be virtually impossible to find reliable low cost child care; employing a nanny costs a fortune and childminders are often unable to offer the flexibility needed to families with children of school age. Hedgehogs understand this and provide low cost flexible childcare to meet your needs. You can relax knowing that your child is playing safely with his/her friends in a homely and safe environment.

Mission Statement
 Our goal is to provide a warm, stimulating environment for each child that encourages the development of physical and socialisation skills, independence and a positive self-image.
Our experienced staff embrace the philosophy that all children learn by doing and have their own timing of social, physical, and intellectual development. Our staff encourage children (individually and in groups) to think for themselves, to make decisions, to work toward their own solutions, and express their own ideas and feelings.
Hedgehogs staff and management recognise the importance of the home and school partnership. We have an open door policy and provide activities and events which promote these partnerships.

Hedgehogs provide a daily Minibus collection service taking children from Berrywood School to Hedgehogs After School Club at Kings Copse Primary School.
